Every year since 1963, the President of the United States has issued a proclamation announcing National Small Business Week, which recognizes the critical contributions of America’s entrepreneurs and small business owners.
More than half of Americans either own or work for a small business, and they create about two out of every three new jobs in the U.S. each year.
As part of National Small Business Week, the U.S. Small Business Administration takes the opportunity to highlight the impact of outstanding entrepreneurs, small business owners, and others from all 50 states and U.S. territories. Every day, they’re working to grow small businesses, create 21st century jobs, drive innovation, and increase America’s global competitiveness.

BENEFITS OF RECYCLED PLASTIC

Environmentally-Friendly Recycled plastic good for the environment. Recycled plastic saves trees and reduces landfill usage. Many forms of post consumer waste, such as plastic milk jugs, are the main ingredients in our ecodurable, long lasting Recycled Plastic Material.

Maintenance-Free Quality recycled plastic does not need to be sealed, painted or stained and cannot rot. The proprietary coloring process seals in color and is uniform throughout the material with the introduction of our unique UV Protection Phase and ensures the beauty of the plastic well beyond wood, metal or expanded steel. Our Frog Furnishings are designed to be placed in service and left alone.
Maintenance departments love the ease of recycled plastic!

Vandal Resistant
Quality recycled plastic is extremely durable. Pens and markers can be washed off. Paint will not bond to the surface and is easily removed with sand paper or scratch paper. Surface cuts and scratches can be simply ironed or sanded away. The sheer weight of many of our products makes it difficult for them to walk away. The surface or in-ground mount kits offer even more security for our products.

The Future
Recycled Plastic Products are becoming the way of the future. Today’s demand for Recycled Plastic Site Furnishings is on the rise while furnishings made of traditional materials like wood, metal and expanded steel are on the decline. Adding recycled plastic furniture to your park, business or project lets your community know you are taking steps to help preserve our earth’s resources.

Shorea Wood

Shorea
Shorea is a tropical hardwood that is comparable to Teak. Because of its high oil content, Shorea easily sheds water making it highly resistant to rotting. Also highly resistant to bug infestation, this heavy wood has a remarkable ability to withstand the effects of wind, rain, sun, and snow. If left untreated, Shorea weathers naturally to a beautiful silver gray. Some surface roughness may develop, especially at the end grain, but over a period of about one year, the natural weather process will stabilize. Moderate checking in the grain is normal with exposure to the elements.

Benefits of buying outdoor furniture from recycled materials

National Outdoor Furniture, Inc. has always maintained a strong dedication to keeping our planet safe and free from unwanted pollutant's. A dedication to our environment is reflected in the products we carry from manufacturers that share our belief. Many of our products are made from recycled materials and our manufacturers participate in waste recycling programs, thus reducing the amount of material going into our landfills.

Our line of PVC coated steel outdoor furniture is a prime example as our products are made from up to 100% recycled steel and environmentally friendly coatings. Steel is America's # 1 recycled material and we could not be more proud of our manufacturer for their contributions to the environment.

Another line made from recycable materials is our commercial resin line. Made from 100% first quality prime materials ensures a superior product and consistantly high commercial quality.

Using recycled materials and participating in recycling programs helps ensure we pass on to future generations a healthy and sustainable environment. We are proud that our companies have instituted these programs while maintaining a high level of quality for our customers.
